Week 3

Ooops  I forgot to log again. My bad. This past week has been a complete blur. Too much to do with no time to do it. I have study for the basic skills test, work on my SIOP lesson plan that is due this week and more. I should probably get working. I know this blog is super short but, I am a busy girl!

Week 2!

     My second week of school is completed. It was a good week. Long and drawn out that's for sure. I am already overwhelmed with the amount of stuff that I have to do. I have to write a 4 page lesson plan. Sounds interesting right? Not!! It is in the SIOP format. The SIOP is designed for ESL or ELL teachers. It is going to be an interesting lesson. I am writing mine on empathy so that will be fun! Oh has anyone heard about the new laws for student teaching? So first, they are adding in more special education classes because they want more well rounded teachers. Next, they are adding in that you have to write a 50 page paper about your student teaching experience....ugh. Lastly, (and this is the kicker) you have to videotape yourself teaching a lesson, then send it in to Pearson to be approved (that and your paper) and it costs $300 to send those in. Only then can you possibly get your teaching certificate....AHHHH! More to worry about.
     Other than that, the realization that I am going to be a senior next year is CRAZY! It's awesome to think about but at the same time, it is slightly scary. Realizing that I will eventually have to move out, get my own place, pay more bills, buy a new car (maybe), and more. Growing up is scary. Not to mention, I calculated that amount of school money I owe...$40,000 right now! REALLY? so then I will have to start paying that back. I am not ready. I like the comfort of living at home and only paying for my phone bill. lol. I knew this day was coming so it will be interesting when it finally happens. Well, I better start getting ready for work. I will post again soon. I forgot to mention the Magic tournament Russell and I were in last night! That was awesome!

Week 1...completed!

     This past week went by so stinking fast. All of my classes are great. One bothers me because there are only 10 people total in the classroom but, I am not going to drop the class or anything. Just suck it up and go. Monday all we did was talk about the syllabi and introduction games (which I hate). Wednesday we got into the content in the classes. A lot of notes that is for sure. Oh and a lot of reading. 2 chapters in each class? That's a lot of reading for this girl. lol. I love to read but, not text books. My goal was to read 50 books this year but, I may have to bring that down a bit. But who knows. I haven't even completed one book this year.
     Anyways back to talking about school. The week went by in a blur. The days go by super fast, and I actually get to relax between classes! That's the best part. Having an 1 hour break between all classes gives me time to read or even watch an episode or something on my Kindle (which I finally figured out). Work has been great when it comes to scheduling me during the week. I work the weekends, which is fine with me. I can get some homework done before work. I have found more computer labs on Campus which makes me happy. I don't have to always go half way across campus to the library! Oh and I got my printer working so I can actually print from home. :) Well, I better get some homework done. I have to work at 4pm.

First day of the semester...completed!

Well, yesterday was the first day of the semester. I actually love this schedule. Having an hour break between each class. It is nice. I can get some stuff done and take my time to the next class. My last break is longer, but it is definitely nice. Especially because I have to work tonight and I do not have a lot of time to get homework done. So I am going to use my breaks to get everything done after the class is over....not a bad idea..I think. I do not mind having to work but, i don't have time to get stuff done. Oh well, I love my job and I am thankful to have it. Each class went to the end. Wasn't too bad. The one class that is going to bu me is my Cross Cultural Studies-ELL class. There are literally 9 students in the class. We are going to be doing a lot of "team building" activities. ugh. I like my bubble. lol. Other than that, I have the same Professor for 2 of my classes. It's nice because she is really laid back and fun. She is crazy about cellphones though. lol. We have 6 strikes in her class, that counts absences, being late, texting and more. But, it doesn't bother me because that will make me want to get my butt moving and pay attention. This is going to be shorter blog because I have to start getting ready for work. I will Blog tomorrow when I have time. Hopefully after classes.Well, I better get back to some homework and get ready for work at 4. Thanks for reading. I will keep you updated on my semester.

Back to school

Well hello my wonderful readers. Yes it has been a short while since my last post. I will tell you, this is my last week of break before school starts up again on Monday. I am actually very excited to get back to school. Its been a great Christmas break but I need something to do. I get extremely bored lol.
I am super excited for tonight however. I am going to be spending the night with my big sister.

 This blog is going to get revamped today. Lay out and possibly a new name? We shall see. I love how it is now but it needs to be updated again.
This is my first time blogging on my phone (galaxy s 3) so bare with me. I am going to go back and edit and add pictures shortly. I will have to post a picture of the massive stack of books I have for this coming semester...shoot me. 7 books for 4 classes.

Oh well got to do it. I cannot believe that my junior year is coming to an end. I need to pass my basic skills asap then hello education department!  Almost there. Study started a while ago. I'm waiting on a study book from the library. Hopefully that will get here soon.
So I am debating on starting a new blog. This one will be about movies vs the book. I love to read and I have read multiple books that have been turned into movies. I thought maybe this would be a way to get my blogs out there and bring in more readers. What do you think? Or even a fashion blog, weight loss, or something.  I need another income lol. A gas station isn't cutting it (not saying anything bad, I love my job).
Well I should probably get ready for the day. I will be back to edit and all that fun stuff later.
